We’re so excited to invite you to The GOLDEN State, a solo art exhibition of new work by Ricardo Osmondo Francis at The 7 Space.
Ricardo Osmondo Francis’ The GOLDEN State employs surreal, mixed-media works to explore the sociopolitical realities of America under Trump, touching on racism, classism, immigration, sexism, and resilience, while inviting viewers to imagine new possibilities for empathy and transformation.
Date: Saturday, October 4, 4–7 P.M.

Complimentary Workshop:
As part of this exhibition, Ricardo will also lead a hands-on workshop on self-portraits through collage on October 11 at 2 P.M. as part of The Newark Arts Festival.
This interactive session invites participants to explore identity, storytelling, and self-expression using accessible materials. No prior art experience is needed —just bring your imagination!
