Newark,
We are throwing open our doors. On Friday, June 26, The 7 Space becomes a gathering place for our city's memory — a photography showcase and a living, community-built archive of who we have been and who we are becoming.
Come through, add yourself to the record, and take your place in Newark's expansive history.

WHAT TO EXPECT
An evening built around the photographs that hold our city's story — and the people who carry it.
• Live music filling the room all evening.
• Polaroid portrait sessions — walk away with a print of you, taken in the room.
• On-site photo digitization — bring your old family photos, and we will scan them for you on the spot.
• A curated photography showcase drawn from Newark's story.
• The living archive — contribute your own photos and memories to a public digital collection, built in partnership with the Newark Public Library (NJ Room).
WHY IT MATTERS
History is usually written about Newark. This night, it is written by Newark. Every photo you bring, every memory you share, every portrait taken becomes part of a record that belongs to all of us — preserved with the Newark Public Library so it outlasts the evening. Your face, your block, your family, your story: this is how a city remembers itself.
